Frequently Asked Questions

Everything clients ask before their first build — and some things they wish they'd asked earlier.

Getting Started

How far in advance should I brief EMpro?
For most builds, 4–6 weeks allows us to design, source materials, and fabricate without rush fees. For complex builds or during peak season (Q3–Q4), we recommend 8+ weeks. If you need something urgently, contact us — we do handle fast-track projects.
What information do you need to provide a quote?
Venue name and date, booth footprint (floor area in square metres), what the build must achieve (branding, product demo, hospitality), material preferences, and your ballpark budget if you have one. A site photo or floorplan is helpful but not essential.
Do you offer design services, or only fabrication?
We do both. Our in-house design team can work from a brand brief to create a full spatial concept, or we can build from existing CAD/renders your agency provides. Either way, you get 3D renders before we cut a single piece.
Can you work from a brief my agency has already prepared?
Absolutely. We integrate seamlessly into agency workflows — whether you're the EPC or the client is coming to us direct, we can fabricate from agency designs, renders, or specifications.

Scope & Capabilities

What types of builds does EMpro handle?
We specialise in exhibition booths, backdrops and stages for ballrooms and conferences, modular kiosk displays, fabric lightboxes, brand activations in malls and airports, and large-format print (hoarding, floor decals, stickers).
What size booths can you build?
From intimate 9m² kiosks to sprawling 400m² island pavilions. We've built everything from pop-ups in shopping mall concourses to multi-storey structures at Marina Bay Sands. Scale doesn't intimidate us — it's all in-house.
Do you install at all Singapore venues?
Yes. We work regularly at Marina Bay Sands, Suntec City, Changi Expo, Sands Expo, Singapore Indoor Stadium, and boutique venues across the island. If there's access and power, we can install.
Can you handle permits, power and venue coordination?
We manage installation logistics and liaison with venue teams. For permits and formal approvals, we advise you or your EPC; we'll provide technical drawings to support the application.
Do you do teardown and dismantle after the show?
Yes — pack down and removal is part of a complete build package. We can also store or recycle materials if your build is modular and destined for future use.
Can you build for outdoor activations and mall concourses?
Yes to both. We design outdoor structures for weather and wind; mall builds are compact, fast to install, and leave no mark. Both are core to our portfolio.

Pricing & Timeline

How much does an exhibition booth cost in Singapore?
Budgets range widely: a 12m² branded kiosk might be SGD 4–8K, a medium 36m² island booth SGD 15–35K, and large bespoke pavilions SGD 50K+. Cost depends on complexity, materials, and site conditions. We provide a detailed cost breakdown once we scope the brief.
What affects booth pricing most?
Floor area, bespoke design elements (AV, interactive features, custom fabrication), material finish (MDF vs powder-coated steel vs glass), and installation timeline. A modular unit is cheaper to build than a one-off sculpture.
What is the fastest turnaround EMpro can manage?
For a simple, modular design using standard components, we can deliver in 2–3 weeks. Complex bespoke builds need 6–8 weeks. Rush fees apply if you compress timelines below our standard 4-week baseline.
Do you offer modular/reusable builds for repeat events?
Yes. We engineer modular systems that can be reconfigured for different venues and themes across seasons. This saves you 30–50% on repeat builds and is ideal for brands that exhibit multiple times per year.

Quality & Process

What materials do you use?
Standard stock: MDF, plywood, aluminium extrusion, powder-coated steel, and PVC. For premium finishes: veneers, polished steel, solid surface, and custom textiles. We source sustainably where possible and recycle offcuts.
Do you provide 3D renders before fabrication?
Always. You get photorealistic 3D renders from multiple angles so you can sign off the design before we fabricate. We revise renders until you're confident.
How do I know the build will match the approved design?
Site visits during fabrication and before install. Our team documents progress in photos. We also do a full quality walkthrough on site — if anything doesn't match the render, we fix it before handover.
What makes EMpro different from a general event contractor?
We're 100% in-house: design, fabrication, and installation under one roof. No handoff gaps, no middlemen, and no excuses. We own the entire outcome from brief to breakdown, so accountability is absolute.
